2020

2020 brought trials, but also opportunities.

3 years ago, my husband would wallow in guilt, that he wasn’t doing enough for his family and country back home... 2020: God allowed my husband to go home for two weeks, to see people he hadn’t seen since he was 18 years old. That was the beginning of him starting to walk in the plans that God has on his life. He took back clothing, shoes and other nick naks to bless people in Nigeria. Nimi was able to bless family with a generator, after seeing the life they live with no air conditioning or lights for several hours, sometimes days due to government controlling power delivery to homes on schedules. After returning from Nigeria to Houston, TX his heart was even bigger for his country and he bought a car for a family member. A few months later he collaborated with his younger brother to plan a day full of surprises to bless his mother and again in November to bless his father on his birthday. Now this week, he has raised money for and sponsored a soccer tournament for the same program that he helped him become the soccer player that provided him a full scholarship to college in America to earn his education. On this soccer field he played bare foot, without first aid and without medals. This soccer event has now lead to the start of his true desire of helping kids in Nigeria to receive scholarships for education, because in Nigeria a good education cost... The Kemuel Foundation will be his next venture to raise money annually for educational scholarships. God did this all, in our worst sales season of our careers. We are in Houston, TX, where oil and gas is not booming, where people are afraid to make large purchases due to the uncertainty of the economy, companies are furloughed or laying off...but GOD did this despite it all!

It

isn’t about our conditions or trials, or money coming in or out. It is about HIS sovereign plan for Nimi and his people. I am so grateful for 2020 and God always having his way despite what we see or feel.
